The Golden Globes

The whole of the t'interweb will be ablaze this morning with articles about The Globes. Not being a huge fashion blogger myself I wouldn't normally comment but the dresses this year were amazing..


here is a few of my favourites:-


1. Jessica Alba in Gucci - This stood out as my absolute favourite. The shade of gown complimented Jessica's colouring so well. The sequin embellishment, fish tail and ruched detail under the bust make it my No1.

2. Michelle Williams in Jason Wu - just love the crop, the alice band and the simplicity of the styling. The navy choice was only one, of very few, that opted for the dark coloured gown.  I can hardly remember a time when Michelle got it wrong, even when she wore the amazing Vera Wang canary yellow dress which she carried off beautifully, helped also by having her partner of the time, Heath Ledger on her arm.

3. Stacy Keibler in Valentino - She's tall, beautiful and has George Clooney as her date - it may not even matter what she wears but this gown is simple yet stunning. No huge jewels - just flawless skin and an 'up do'.  Perfect.

No-No's for me were:


Jessica Biel - hair down, high neck and far too fussy. Too 'wedding dress' like, the darker hair combined with the white just drained her completely. She is usually flawless and this didn't suit at all. 

Amanda Peet - too fussy, frilly and looked like she made it herself - looks like flat sandals too. just all kinds of wrong






















Angelina Jolie - went back to vamp with slicked back hair, red lips and snip of red collar  - eek!
