Sunday buys...

So I took myself off for a wander and this time with a list!  I found the things I'd written on my list plus a few more things besides, well its gotta be done hasn't it.

So as it was payday, I thought I may as well stock up on the products I'm using everyday as well as some newbies.

Superdrug

Batiste - I use this a few times throughout a week and now there seems to be more added to the range, I decided to go for a Medium/Brunette with a hint of colour, as the last can I used was the original and found if I'd not brushed it through enough it left a white 'talc like' dusting through my hair.  I am now a convert and it does save alot of faffing if you don't have the time (or energy) to wash your hair..

QVS Perfection brush - a double-ended foundation/concealer brush. As I am aiming to get (much) better at applying my make-up I thought I'd buy a brush in the hope that it makes the final results better.

Bionsen - I've been using this now for many years, I switched to this mainly because I wanted to use a deodorant that didn't contain aluminium. I have read that there is a *possible* link to Breast Cancer by using aluminium-related products so that's my reasoning.  I've found this is really effective and keeping me dry throughout the day, its a roll on and not aerosol-based either and it only has a very light fragrance as I'm not keen on an overpowering 'deodorant' smell.

Body Shop

As I'd used my last (freebie magazine gift) body wash I wanted to try something different.  Yesterday morning I'd used my Coconut Body Scrub from Body shop which was fab and made my skin *soo* soft. So I diverted to Body Shop for body washes - they have a a few deals on at the moment, I plumped for the 2 for £6 deal and chose the Satsuma Shower Gel and Moringa Shower Gel  both of which are soap free and smell heavenly!  I happily noticed that Body Shop are now stocking  aluminium-free deodorants too so I will be trying that next month.
Boots

There is currently a 3for2 offer on at Boots which is why I decided to buy the new make up I wanted from there.  I'd like to thank the lovely Ellie at missyellieuk who recommended Max Factor Xperience Weightless foundation

The girl in boots was very helpful and even did a quick demo of the foundation, concealer and translucent powder and so I decided on all three. With the 3for2 offer It meant i got the foundation for free - so even better!

I've used it and so far I'm impressed - the foundation goes on very easily along with the matching concealer and powder have given good coverage.  I've not used a powder for years but on recommendation from the Max factor girl I'm going to try using it just to dust over the top as a finishing touch.

So not a bad day's wandering and along with a purchase in HM, M&S and Lakeland I was very pleased.

Talking of Lakeland (love that shop for all manner of gadgets) I wanted to highlight this handy little gadget Dossil - shower trap - its basically for placing over the plughole so hair doesn't get trapped down the plug and you end up with the yukky job of having to fish it all out with your hands. I'm hoping this simple little investment will save lots of hassle in the long run..

any products or gadgets you'd recommend?
