donation weekend... part 2

So after a successful Saturday sending furniture to the charity shops. Sunday was planned for a bootfair and the predicted weather was looking good.

We did have a very successful morning - £££'s - mostly down to our 'selling technique' and the quality of the items for sale, namely cushions (still with tags), linen, candlesticks, covers/throws (still with tags), shoes, pictures, records and all manner of things in between.

Whilst we were there we met a lovely lady who runs a charity which brings children from Chernobyl over to the county for a holiday.  We donated a box loads of goodies for them to raffle at their next fete including teddies and smaller items.

Anything that was left at the end of the morning was donated to the charity shop the next day. So once again I would encourage you to have a de-clutter and either go do a bootfair or donate your unwanted items to your local charity shop.

Support your local charities and high street whilst clearing out your room or house - everyone wins!

Sunny weather + a huge haul of goodies + lots of folk = alot of  items sold, pennies in the pocket and donations made.
