its proper lush...

I haven't been in lush for what seems like years. When I'm in Bluewater we walk by the store and it smells so heavenly. However, this time we did go in and snapped up some products to try...

After speaking to one of the shop staff she recommended this:-

The Olive Branch Shower Gel (for body and hair)
Ingredient list ~ Vine Leaf Infusion, Water,Sodium Laureth Sulfate,Sodium Cocoamphoacetate,Fresh Mandarin Juice, Fair Trade Olive Oil, Perfume,Propylene Glycol,Bergamot Oil, Lemon Oil,Orange Flower Absolute,Mandarin Oil, Fine Sea Salt, *Limonene,*Linalool,Hydroxycitronellal, Colour 14700, Methylparaben

Olive oil, fresh mandarins, bergamot oil and vine leaves ~ whats not to like. I've tried it and so far I can say I do like it. It really does smell amazing and because of the olive oil component its great for the dry skin on my legs.  I have also used it to wash my hair and yes I know its the first time use but it does feel so smooth, only further use will tell if it does the job as my hair has also been very dry (damn you hair straightners!). Yes it does have those sneaky parabens in it which is off putting but a small element of the ingredients so i'll see what I think.

Another item I especially wanted to try was a deodorant. I have been using an aluminium free one for a few years now (mainly because i read somewhere of the link to aluminium and Breast Cancer)

Aromaco Solid Deodorant
ingredients list ~ Witch Hazel Infusion,Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Chamomile Vinegar, Sodium Bicarbonate, Patchouli Oil,Citral, *Limonene,Perfume

I've only been using a few days now but again its not bad.I have found that because the piece I had is cut into a block its a bit difficult to rub on my underarm without it getting a bit sore but having read some of the comments on the site it says to round off the edges and keep in a plastic bag to keep it soft so hopefully this will do the trick. There's not much of a scent to it but I'd rather that, then the scent is of my perfume not my deodorant.

The last item I wanted to try was a massage bar for my hands. I chose this one because of its scrummy lemon scent.

Each Peach (and two's a pear)

ingredients list ~ Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter,Perfume, Avocado Butter,Mango Kernel Butter, Lime Oil, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Mandarin Oil,Grapefruit Oil, Safflower Petals, *Citral, *Geraniol,*Citronellol, *Limonene,*Linalool

this is basically just a block piece which you can rub gently over your hands or body - its been good so far for my dry hands so lets see how good (or bad) it turns out to be.

Pretty good value too ~ I spent under a tenner for the 3 pieces.  I'll give them a month on trial to see whether natural really is best...

are there any natural products you would recommend?
