busy weekend ...

another busy one!

Saturday
met up with Sazzle for a cuppa and a catch up - first to the cafe for chips  then on for a wander around the shops before heading off to Carnaby Street and Kingly Court...  We were keen to having a snoop around Kingly as I didnt realise just how many little shops and boutiques there were but if i'm honest our final destination was planned to be Camellia's tea house. Its a great little shop with mismatched tables and chairs, rows of teas in grand looking tins which they encourage you to go and smell!  We had tea and some cake but they also do light lunches and set afternoon teas.  A great little find after a day's shopping.

Sunday

Well its Sunday so of course we went to a bootfair, they are getting a few and far between now but while the weather is still with us we'll keep going.

I managed to find a Disney Princess mini case on wheels for my niece who, like her auntie, is obsessed with handbags!  she loves to get our bags and pull them along behind her so what better than a bag on wheels..  We found a heavy glass vase which would be great for Tulips and got mum a glass lemon juicer from the same stall - much better than a plastic ones.

We've been on the hunt for vintage blue and white plates (which mum is now collecting for her Christmas table) as well as candle sticks and other knick knacks for Christmas.  Our plan is to go ' home made vintage' this year so with everything we have collected over the Summer I think we are pretty much set!

Lastly, we went on a Ghost Walk around Rochester last night, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.  We took my nephew who was fascinated to hear all about the ghosts (?) and history of the buildings along the high street, Castle and Cathedral.

so what were you up to at the weekend and what will you get up to for Halloween?
